West Roxbury branch manager is named one of top 1% of originators by Mortgage Executive magazine

April 19, 2018 – DANVERS, MA – Mortgage Network, Inc., one of the largest independent mortgage bankers in the eastern U.S., announces that Sofia A. Travayiakis, a senior loan officer and manager of its West Roxbury, Massachusetts branch, has recently been recognized by several organizations for her professional achievements.

Travayiakis was named one of the Top 1% of Mortgage Originators in America by Mortgage Executive magazine. She was also named a Top 100 Originator for 2018 by the National Association of Minority Mortgage Bankers of America (NAMMBA), a national trade association dedicated to the enrichment and betterment of minorities and women who work in the mortgage industry.

Travayiakis was named to Boston Agent magazine’s “Who’s Who in 2017” listing. Boston Agent is the city’s leading source of local news and information for residential real estate professionals.

She was also recognized by Mortgage Network for being the top woman originator in the company.  In addition, Travayiakis was recently honored by the company with a leadership award.

Travayiakis has worked in the mortgage business for more than 20 years. At the age of 18 while earning her undergraduate degree at the University of Utah, she began her career as a loan processor for Assurance Mortgage. Since then, she has worked as a loan officer and branch manager for companies such as Wells Fargo, New York Mortgage and Countrywide Home Loans.  She joined Mortgage Network in 2015.

Travayiakis specializes in working with first-time homebuyers and aims to be her clients’ lifelong financial coach.  She originated over $65 million in mortgage loans last year.

Travayiakis is a supporter of Angel Smiles and Boston Children’s Hospital. A member of the Pancretan Association of America, she teaches Greek dance lessons and is an active community volunteer. She is a member of the National Association of Professional Women.
