Past president of National Appraisal Association and third-generation appraiser to oversee WFG business unit
March 1, 2018 – Toledo, Ohio – Laurie Egan, a highly respected appraisal industry leader and past president of the National Association of Appraisers, has joined The William Fall Group as vice president and general manager of the company’s WFG residential staff appraiser division. In her new role, Egan will be responsible for recruiting, training and managing a nationwide network of residential appraisers and overseeing WFG’s business with lender clients nationwide.
Egan has more than 30 years of experience as a full-time appraiser. She began her career working for her father and grandfather, who were both appraisers, in the Pacific Northwest. In 1988, she founded Team Appraisals in Portland, Oregon. From 2014 to 2016, she served as president of the National Association of Appraisers, a group formed to advocate for appraiser interests and promote professional appraiser standards of conduct.
“Few people understand appraisers as well as Laurie. She was literally born into the appraisal business and has led her own appraisal firm. Laurie has also advocated for the profession on a national level and has helped major lenders develop their own in-house appraisal departments,” said William Fall, CEO of The William Fall Group. “Her skills and leadership ability will be invaluable to our recruiting efforts and the overall success of WFG.”
In addition to her other roles, Egan has served as a senior appraisal consultant for MetLife Bank’s collateral risk division and as a regulatory compliance manager for HomeStreet Bank. Most recently she served as director of a national appraisal firm. Egan holds certified residential appraiser credentials in Oregon, Washington and Idaho.
“I have long admired The William Fall Group for its legendary commitment to quality and high-touch service and am thrilled to be working with Bill and his team,” Egan said. “WFG is a highly respected and well-established firm, and I look forward to contributing to its profitable growth and strengthening its reputation as the home of the industry’s finest and most qualified appraisers.”
