Senior partner is a leading expert on digital mortgages and IT investment

October 2, 2019 –GREENWOOD VILLAGE, CO –  STRATMOR Group, the mortgage industry’s leading data-driven advisory firm, announces that Senior Partner Garth Graham has been named to HousingWire’s inaugural Tech Trendsetters list.

The award recognizes the technology leaders driving innovation in the housing economy. The 50 winners represent executive, product and technology leaders who have played an integral role in bringing innovative solutions to the housing industry. The winners were selected by HousingWire’s editorial board based on their integral role and innovative contributions to their mortgage and real estate clients over the past year.

At a time when digital mortgage innovation has exploded and margin compression is deepening, Graham is one of the most knowledgeable, trusted and widely-cited technology experts working in the mortgage industry today. Since joining STRATMOR, Graham has advised more than 175 mortgage companies, including many of the top lenders in the country, on making technology investments that streamline sales and operations, improve profitability and accelerate growth. He helped create MortgageSAT STRATMOR’s Borrower Experience program, which empowers lenders with actionable data, peer-to-peer performance benchmarking and online testimonial sharing to improve the consumer experience. In the past year alone, he has participated in 46 advisory projects, helping lenders gain unbiased insights on current technology tools, opportunities and strategies before they invest.

Graham has more than 30 years of experience in the mortgage industry, ranging from Fortune 500 companies to successful startups, including management of two of the most successful e-commerce platforms. Before joining STRATMOR, Graham helped found mortgage.com, which originated its first mortgage through the internet in 1997. As an executive with ABN AMRO, he created a five-year strategic plan that led to the successful $9 billion sale in 2007 of the bank’s mortgage business before the market downturn.

“There are few mortgage technology advisors as well-versed on lenders’ issues than Garth,” said Lisa Springer, CEO and senior partner at STRATMOR Group. “Not only has he deepened STRATMOR’s technology expertise, but our clients deeply respect what Garth has to say because he’s been in their shoes and because of the lessons he’s learned and the contacts he’s made. There’s nobody in our industry like him.”

“I’m honored to receive this recognition from HousingWire,” Graham said. “My goal in advising mortgage companies is to help them become more productive, more efficient and more profitable while making the consumer’s mortgage experience as smooth as possible.”  Garth is also known for his sharp insights and quick wit, which creates a lot of public speaking opportunities.  “I am challenged every day, and really enjoy being part of the industry.  Having fun even when dealing with serious topics is how I try to interact with clients and colleagues.”
