WHAT:
One of the largest gatherings of Hispanic business owners and Fortune 500 company executives, the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals’ (NAHREP) 2016 National Convention & Latin Music Festival is a three-day, world-class event sponsored by Quicken Loans that spotlights the latest developments in Hispanic small business, real estate and mortgage lending trends. NAHREP’s convention combines business sessions led by the nation’s top real estate practitioners and experts with cultural elements, showcasing an assortment of Latino music, dance and culinary arts. NAHREP’s closing party will feature a Latino food festival, Sabores: A Culinary Experience, with dishes created by a celebrity Latino chef. The event’s brimming expo hall will feature dozens of the housing industry’s foremost companies exhibiting their innovative products and services.

NAHREP Latina Brunch
For the third year in a row, NAHREP celebrates Latinas in the industry through the Latina Brunch, an afternoon of men and women alike joining together in the spirit of Latina entrepreneurship. Highlighting Latinas as a primary force for the growth in Hispanic small business formation, this session will feature a discussion with a panel of successful Latina entrepreneurs who will share their secrets to success. Among this group of successful entrepreneurs will be Tina Aldatz, founder of Foot Petals, the revolutionary line of designer insole cushions for women’s heels. Ms. Aldatz will share her personal story and the inspiration behind her multi-million dollar company during the third annual Latina Brunch.

Opening General Session
Grammy nominated artist Karina Nuvo will kick off the 2016 Convention with a performance of the national anthem. This session will include video presentations and keynote speeches that feature the association’s achievements for the year, trends in Latino businesses and themes and highlights for the full convention. Convention title sponsor Quicken Loans will provide a special presentation and the association will present its Ernest J. Reyes Founders Award to Wells Fargo executive Brad Blackwell. Providing the session’s keynote remarks will be Sol Trujillo, Global Communications, Media and Cable Industry Executive.

Keynote Luncheon
The Keynote Luncheon will provide a celebration of Latino Culture, which will feature a presentation of NAHREP’s Vanguard Award honoree Julissa Arce, a former undocumented immigrant that rose through the ranks of Merrill Lynch to eventually hold the position of vice president. Tied to the cultural theme, Celebrity Chef Ronaldo Linares of Chopped Star fame will provide guests with his unique Latin-flared cuisine. The luncheon will close with remarks from legendary actor Tony Plana who is best known for his role on TV’s Ugly Betty.

Every year, the brightest agents from all cities across the country are closely considered for the Top 250 Latino Agent. These agents and mortgage originators will receive special distinction at this session.

This session features NAHREP’s first Master Class on the NAHREP 10, the association’s seminal principles designed to guide members toward a more prosperous career and fulfilling life, will be led by NAHREP Co-Founder & CEO Gary Acosta. The session will be supported by celebrity guest presenters including UFC Founder Rorion Gracie and prominent investor & philanthropist Foster Stanback.

Sabores: A Culinary Experience Closing Party
Our largest event during the National Convention, the Sabores Latin Food Festival is the perfect closing party for NAHREP members and supporters. Los Angeles based restauranteur and chef, Richardo Zarate will integrate his unique flavors to the evening’s menu while our Master of Ceremonies Armando Tam kicks the night off. The evening will include musical performances from Salsa legend Pablo “Chino” Nunez and guest DJ, Taboo from the Grammy Award winning Black Eyed Peas.
