Mortgage lender’s Seaford and Salisbury, Maryland offices join to deliver bags of much needed groceries to shelter

November 18, 2021 – Danvers, MA – Mortgage Network, Inc., one of the largest independent mortgage bankers in the eastern U.S., announced that its Salisbury and Seaford, Maryland offices recently joined together to buy much needed food for the Salisbury Christian Shelter, a temporary emergency shelter that provides safe housing and meals for men, women and children who are homeless.

Twenty employees bought and delivered 20 bags of groceries to the shelter containing peanut butter, soup, canned hams, stuffing, pasta and other items. In addition, Mortgage Network donated an additional $25 per bag to the shelter.

“Homelessness and hunger are growing concerns in our area, and we feel nutritious meals are important for everyone,” said Salisbury branch manager Hope Morgan. “At Mortgage Network we really like to help our communities, so we’re happy to know this food will help.”

“We work better as a team to help address homelessness in our community, especially with women and children,” said Bishop Anthony Dickerson, executive director of The Christian Shelter. “Last year, we served over 20,000 meals and provided a safe, warm place to sleep for 10,097 nights. Food donations increase around the holidays, but the need is year-round. We thank Mortgage Network for its generous donation.”
