Leo Pareja and Daisy Lopez-Cid assume roles of president and president-elect; Four new directors join board

March 29, 2017 – San Diego, CA –   The National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP®) announced the installation of Leo Pareja as its 2017 national president and Daisy Lopez-Cid as president-elect. Prior to their new leadership roles, Mr. Pareja served as 2016 president-elect and Ms. Lopez-Cid was a two-term member of the national board.

Mr. Pareja and Ms. Lopez-Cid were installed at the NAHREP Housing Policy & Hispanic Lending Conference in Washington, D.C., on March 28th.

Mr. Pareja has been in the real estate industry since 2002 and has been recognized as one of the top producing agents in the world. He was named as one of the “30 under 30” Class of 2011 by REALTOR® Magazine. In addition, Mr. Pareja’s company was ranked as the number five team in the country by the Wall Street Journal in 201l, and he was the “#1 Agent” among NAHREP’s Top 250 Latino Agents in 2013.  Mr. Pareja is currently the CEO of the software company, Remine.

“Daisy Lopez-Cid is one of the most loyal and hardworking leaders anywhere in the country,” said Gary Acosta, co-founder and CEO of NAHREP. “She has been instrumental in the creation and development of the NAHREP Coaches Program and her leadership helped forge the path for a successful chapter expansion in 2016.”

Additions to the 2017 national board include: Joe Castillo of ERA Mi Casa Real Estate in Chicago, IL; Christian Fuentes of RE/MAX Top Producers in Diamond Bar, CA; Sara Rodriguez of Ekko Title in Arlington, VA; and Alicia Treviño of Century 21 Alicia Treviño Realtors in Mesquite, TX. Each of the new additions to the board has previously served as president of their local chapter boards. Teresa Palacios Smith will be leaving the board this year after serving as 2015 national president.
