Mortgage Network’s Danvers branch manager honored for his support and public service

DANVERS, MA – July 6, 2017 – Mortgage Network, Inc., one of the largest, privately held independent mortgage companies in the eastern U.S. region, is proud to announce that Richard Bettencourt, manager of its Danvers Square, Massachusetts branch, has been named Affiliate Member of the Year by the Greater Boston Association of Realtors® (GBAR).
Each year, the GBAR publicly recognizes the active volunteer involvement, charitable acts and business success of its members. The Affiliate Member of the Year Award acknowledges the involvement of industry product and service providers for their active participation in GBAR programs and activities, and their general support of the association, its mission and the REALTOR® membership.
Bettencourt has been helping people buy homes or refinance their existing mortgages for more than 14 years. A Certified Military Housing Specialist, Bettencourt for the past five years has served on the board of directors of the National Association of Mortgage Professionals, where he is Chairperson of the VA Loan Committee and past Chairperson of its Government Affairs Committee. He was also recently appointed to the Mortgage Bankers Association’s VA Working Committee Group. In September 2016 he was recognized as one of the Top 50 Most Connected Mortgage Professionals in America by National Mortgage Professional magazine.
